Is There A Dr In The Barn? Calling Dr Jimmy, Calling Dr Jimmy!

She is out

For the record, my manifold issue is not Covid 19 related. It’s been sick for a while and patched together with JB Weld. But it had some internal issues that needed attention. Q Dr Jimmy and his new John Deere surgical robot.

You have to pull the engine to pull the manifold

New Surgical Robot

One thing is for sure. Having small and large projects has been a life saver during the quarantine. Jimmy is about an hr away from us here in Reedville and all I have been able to focus on is years of home neglect. It’s been too cold and pollen crap in the air to varnish Sweet Pea. But looks like I will have time for that.

Here she comes

night fit

When Jimmy sent these photos a little fire lit up in my gut. I felt the love and warmth of varnish and warm oil.

All this is being done to make the W perfect, but it will be set aside in the barn while her new V8 will be replacing it. That is a 350 thats being built especially for WECATCHEM with some very cool vintage stuff. Stay tuned for that.

She is all she is cracked up to be

Time to clean the bilge

I love carbs

A huge thanks to Dr Jimmy for the boost of energy and little bit of normalcy.

Love the waterskis hanging from the beams! Wondering how they’re mounted? I have a collection of old skis, but am trying to figure a way to hang them vertically, without damaging them. Too often I see them mounted by removing the fin & running screws into the face of the ski, thru the wood & into the wall.

Kelly I displayed my collection by screwing them from the bottom of the skies to the stair rails to my loft, so I was able to leave the fins on, Note that my Chris Craft skies are not displayed as there as I didn’t want to damage them.

I’m looking forward to seeing what you put in “Wecatchem” – There are a lot of cool things that can be done to the basic GM block to keep it “retro” and you will enjoy the reliability and performance. Closed cooling, I hope!
