Sand, Tape, Caulk, Tape Caulk, Clean.

Lots of tape

Yesterday was a very full day. The day started at 8Am and ended around 5PM. My last free day before work, and got her all sanded real good, the seams all taped up and caulked with Sikaflex Mahogany caulk. Its so strange, but the next step is to letter the CC logo on the side and name. And a coat of the Matte finish. Then focus on the inside and putting her back together. Then right before Dora, 1 more final coat of the matte, which is satin, in the images today its all sanded ready.

Lots of seams

I tried all sorts of stuff, but the finger was the best way

It took 3 tubes

The products

Wonderful clean environment

And that stain color is just a poppn

Lots of color

Somehow we wound up helping the Ukraine

You can see here how it looks once the tape is removed.

I will paint the caulk with stain so it blends better

Cleaned up nice

Tight

This is still a sanded finish. So it will pop a tad more

The damaged area

Very nice. an incredible amount of work precisely taping. Educational to me on this process. Isn’t it interesting how the best tool we have is our finger? I can’t count how many of my projects I’ve given the finger to.

Really coming along, the damaged area looks factory. Wayne Bomb is a big help for sure…be sure to get that trash can full of rags out of there… warming up this week. John in Va

You should paint the deck strips the correct color which would be a chocoleate brown. With the satin varnish and the correct seam color she will look really good.

I love HQ vibe but what a difference a “white” room makes. Is this what they call…I wont go there. Did you see more flaws moving to this shop versus in HQ? Your project plan seems to be right on schedule.

Yes I did. The romance of the railway hides many details. Like an operating room vs a love shack. Its a tough choice sometimes
