Yesterday AM, like early AM, AM, right after WoodyBoater, and of course things again need to get done in short spirts. But was able to get stuff organized and cleaned up.
The door had to be removed, the trash can bag is a tarp of sorts

Man oh man what a mess in the workshop
All new supports, they were mush. Today, the boards go back on, and then seal it up and try and go boating if the rain and wind dont come….
The door is patched and ready for paint.
This was all by 10AM, then back to the calls and yabber. Today, hopefully more work, less yabber. We are expecting 60mph winds today, and from what I saw on the news and calls with some of our team in Chicago, it wern’t pretty up there either.
Looks like a great start to the project. Once you start working on things like this it’s hard to draw the line where to stop. Looks like you found it!

My father-in-law had a 38′ wood boat that his dad, a boat builder, Croatian heritage, built in their back yard in 1952. He chartered the boat out of Gulfport, Mississippi for 40 years. The boat came out of the water at the shipyard and his family started on Friday afternoon and worked to have the boat back in the water on Monday. Bottom, sides, boot stripe, all had to be done because he said that if the boat dried out too much it had to be soaked up in the lift slings.
It looked terrible on Friday and on Sunday afternoon when we all had to get back to our own lives, the boat looked like a diamond. There was always some
bad wood that had to be changed no matter how much you tried to avoid the rot. Have a wood boat, have plenty of rot problems.

We were forecasted strong winds yesterday, in Grand Rapids, MI, and got nothing. Perhaps you will experience the same. You cleanup very nicely, I mean work areas. Are you available for hire?!

Water levels on Lake St Clair are holding their own, currently just above last year’s levels.

Just a heads-up—be careful using CPES on plywood. It can attack the adhesive in the plywood, which may cause the laminations to delaminate over time.
