We don’t have much of an update on Bill, here is one from some days ago, but below is the latest info and a photo of Bill and his thumbs up! Sorry Bill, you got second billing to a pile of Mahogany! Thats good news.. Hopefully soon you will be there with Old ebay ashtrays shaped like boats. The entire population of Woody Boaterville is rooting for you!

Hi everybody! I know you’ve all said you love reading Bill updates so I’m sorry I’ve been quiet. Keeping up with everything has become quite a full time job for me. Right now the surgeries are done and he is just resting and gaining strength. He can’t do any intense physical therapy until his bones and lungs heal. So prayers for patience is what he needs most. He is looking at 6-8 weeks of healing before he can start bearing weight on any part of his body. For a guy who wanted this process to be over yesterday it’s not going to be easy to digest that time frame. He has a few big milestones to meet yet before we can talk about getting him to a long term rehab facility closer to home. Seeing how hard he’s working I know he’ll do everything in his power to get closer to the kids. I miss them so badly that I can’t even put it into words.

Again, I am completely blown away by the outpouring of love and support for Bill and my family. I promise my eyes will forever be open and looking for ways to pay it all forward. He’s not ready for a lot of visitors yet (mostly because he constantly has someone poking and prodding him and making him do uncomfortable things) but I’ll share a picture of a special visitor he had yesterday. This is little Levi whom, at 11 months, has spent way more time at the UIHC than Bill will ever have to. He dropped by to tell Bill he’s in good hands and miracles are possible.
