The 40th Annual 2012 Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance – Class Winners

,

The Official List of Class Winners from the 2012 Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance is now published on the Lake Tahoe Concours website. (You can Click Here to go there and also see the complete list below). One of the highlights of the big event is the “Roar Off” where the boat owners have the opportunity to leave the Sierra Boat Company marina and go for a cruise on beautiful Lake Tahoe… And as we all know, it’s more fun to shoot boats out on the water and away from the docks when ever we get a chance.

We were invited to join Chief Judge Terry Fiest, Tim Robinson, Don Ayers (President of the Chris-Craft Club) and the crew aboard Dave Olson’s “Thunder Chick” which leaves first and Terry does his best to get us in position to snap a few shots as the boats roar off. We were hoping to stream some live video of the boats leaving the harbor but the WiFi service was not great out on the lake, however we will continue to improve that technology. But we were able to get a few great images. Thanks Terry!

This is also a very popular event for the boat show spectators, who come out in the hundreds and gather on the break water to watch the boats head out…

Here’s the Official List of Class Winners for 2012.

Nice work Texx. So frustrating to be working in LA this week with that show happening just up the line. Back home to the cold of winter tonight.

Congratulations to all of the winners and especially to Will Stout, owner of Rumrunner! They pulled the Rumrunner all of the way from Florida via Lake Okoboji in Iowa and out to California! Fabulous boat, dear Friends! Congratulations to Bets, Will and Zoe! Wish I would have been able to attend with you!

Good point Royce – Thanks for your help.

The Peoples Choice Award was announced late Saturday afternoon so I added this in at the end of the story. Was going to update the info on “Rumrunner” when I got off the road, and… Forgot.

It’s a beautiful boat and deserves the award!
