2012 Chris-Craft Plant Jamboree – “Where it All Began” At The Algonac Harbour Club Marina, Algonac, Michigan Thursday
Well, after months of anticipation and planning, tonight Matt & I finally arrived in historic Algonac, Michigan for the big 2012 Chris Craft Plant Jamboree – “Where it All Began” hosted by the Michigan Chapter ACBS at the Algonac Harbour Club Marina along the St. Claire River.
The history is absolutely amazing here, and we will do our best over the next few days to share some of that history with our viewers.
Pete Beauregard and the nice folks from the Algonac Harbour Club Marina / Colony Marine (the local Sea Ray dealer and Chris-Craft dealer since 1960) in conjunction with the Michigan Chapter ACBS have provided some amazing accommodations for Matt & I – by way of a brand new 2012 Sea Ray Model 520 Sedan Bridge Cruiser powered by twin Cummins 670 QSM 11’s… (MSRP 1.636M). This boat is truly spectacular, we will take you on a tour later, the two state rooms have individual potties / showers, flat screen Tee Vees, and on and on… A perfect Woody Boater HQ for the weekend.
Over 80 antique & classic boats will start arriving in Algonac for the big show today and we have our cameras charged up and ready to roll, and when we see the boats arrive at the Harbour Club, you will also see them Live-ish starting this afternoon. Until we can get some images and stories posted, check out some of the great history of the Algonac Harbour Club Marina, the original site of Chris-Craft by clicking here.
It’s 2:15 AM EST and we have to recharge our batteries for a long day of boat showing and cruising the St. Clair River this afternoon. Stay tuned to Woody Boater for daily updates.

Good morning fella’s! Up and at’em.
We are Up and at’em! Giddy Up… Looking for a photo boat…
Hah! 1.6 mil, worth 700,000 next season
I like the shot of the pickup bed trim you slipped in there.
So Tex, looks like you are moving up from the pontoon boat you slept on in the mall parking lot at the Big Sky show last year.
Today is a good day to be a Woody Boater Roving Reporter!
Stay Tuned for more…
Looks like fun! Enjoy! Glad you have nice digs. When do you sleep Texx?
In November… I hope.
