Greetings From Lake Dora

Supervisors
Another flawless weather day here on Lake Dora. And starting the day I got to take a very slow and wonderful sunrise ride to the show. But had to wash all the Midgies off the boat, the tent, the shirts, the everything. Perfection has a price. But well worth it. The crowd at the show was minimal, and very comfortable to be able to catch up with folks, thats for sure. Today of course is the day when the guests come by. The docks are full, and lots of goodies and great conversations. Anyway I know you are here for pictures. SO!

And the day ends just like it started.

And B is now officially a show boat!
The weather looks great! We had another dusting of snow this morning on the west coast of Michigan. I’m glad all is working well with “B”, thus far! Have a great weekend in the sun!
I imagine that slow ride alone to the boat show was a further bonding with B. Just you, B and God together on the water in that sunrise. Kind of a finale of this adventure with B. It had to have been “good for the soul”.
Fortunately, those midgies don’t bite but they sure do suck. Maybe a leaf blower would have been useful. Great opportunity to meet up with so many friends at Paul’s awesome event. Got to eat some fantastic food that M Fine (and others) worked their magic on and explain to Ron Stevenson what Dunlop’s disease was that I used yesterday (a southern term where your belly done lopped over your belt). Fun night playing the longest game of pool ever, Minnesota Fats we are not.
Nothing like classic boats, flat water, sunshine and good people. Enjoy it. It is 30 degrees here in southern Ohio This morning.
What are “midgies”? Bugs?
They look like mosquitoes but they dont bite. They hatch in the waters around here in waves. Unfortunately, a wave is happening now! They’re attracted to light and light colors, so white cars, boats, buildings, etc will get coated. It’s a small price to pay for all the other wonderful things about FLA!
Thanks Shannon,
You are the first person to ever answer a question we asked on this site!
Ah yes lovely Florida. While the many beautiful photos show Dora to be nice, esp the little canal treks, Florida aint on the bucket list. Too many people and bits to list…but dinosaurs that eat your puppy on your doorstop. No thanks.
Ron still chatting up the ladies!
Some things never change…😉
