A Boatload Of Live-Ish Photos From The Lake Chatuge Rendezvous

“Love & Luck” — 1937 Chris Craft Deluxe Runabout
Thanks to long time Woody Boater Michael Maddox for reporting in from this past weekends big event on Lake Chatuge. This lake is amazing and better yet, surrounded by mountains and smiles.

Michael doing his thing
Micheal is not new to woody boats, but is new to the ACBS and joined on the spot. Having built two Glen-L boats I smell a runabout in his future. So without further adooo, the boatload of photos. Take it away Micheal.

WOW! I am not sure about you, but my eyeballs are dry from not blinking! Thanks so much Micheal, I think you mighyt have captured every boat in the show? Summer on Lake Chatuge sure is magic and thanks to you we all get to be there.
TADA!
Since they say a picture is worth a thousand words I would say that is an essay of over 55 thousand words. So many great shots I don’t know where to begin.
Thanks Micheal for bringing us along with you!
The color of the water is amazing, I have never seen anything quite like it.
Great bunch of boats at a Great looking event. Have to get there some day. Thanks for sharing
What a fantastic diversity of wonderful boats. The great photos brought the show into my computer screen to enjoy. Also looks like a great venue and everyone really enjoying their boats out on the lake. Bravo and thank you Michael. Your event just made my bucket list!
Greg, this lake was also on my bucket list, so I hauled the Lyman out there for a ACBS quarterly meeting during this show weekend. What a perfect setting, the resort, docks the Smokies as a backdrop. And the people, they were full of that Southern charm and Hospitality
You and Mariann have to make that trip next year. WE may just tag along.
Dennis,
It would be great to do the event with you and Ronnie.
Hi Greg! We look forward to seeing you next June!
Always nice to see our previous life flash across the screen! We were the custodians of Love & Luck before Kent. Still looking GREAT!
I want to see a video of Checkered Past skimming across the water!
Better Yet!
I want to be in Checkered Past skimming across the water!
Now I am late for work. But smiles all the way
WOW! Thanks for the great pics. Hopefully next year I will be there.
Great pictures! And I’m glad you joined ACBS. Hope you’l be able to cover more shows Charlotte is always great I’ll be heading back to Colorado, maybe you can go to a Rocky Mountain Classics show!
Attended one of their prior events on Lake Chatuge. It’s truly beautiful boating…and lots of water to explore. The Blue Ridge Chatper really knows how to put on a terrific event. Always well organized, covered slips, and Chapter Members make you feel welcome. I’m not surprised at all their event is well attended. Great job!
Michael – What beautiful photos! Thank you for capturing this great reflection of the weekend! It truly is a wonderful event….from the boats to the camaraderie throughout. Looking forward to next year’s event already!

For some reason the picture of “Nancy Jean” keeps reminding me of one of my favorite headers.
BEAUTIFUL WATER COLOR THESE! NEXT YEAR FOR SURE!!
Thanks Michael. Great Photos! Beautiful Boats!
Anyone know the owners of Love and Luck? I have the same model and year and would like to reach out to the owner for some info.
Love to chat, Kent Caldwell, 239-980-1800
It is owned by Kent & LuAnn Caldwell. Fort Myers Florida. Their info. Is in the ACBS directory.
Oh MICHAEL! What fantastic photos… It was a very special weekend. The weather gods smiled upon us and it didn’t rain until late Saturday. Lake Chatuge is just gorgeous with the surrounding mountains. The Ridges Resort always treats us like royalty too. But the best part about the Rendezvous are the people. There is so much love in this Chapter-it just can’t be contained! I do hope everyone will consider joining us June 2017 for the 30th, yup 30th Lake Chatuge Rendezvous.
