A Fun Video About The True Classic Boat Show Spirit From A Fellow Woody Boater.
I just took a look at this great video that fellow Woody Boater Rick Gambino made about the the Algonac show. What struck me is that in the end, these shows are about fun, and not the boats. I know, the boats are the setting, and the common denominator, but in the end, its the fun folks around them. Rick and his wife are amazing folks. Love to have fun, and it shows. Don’t let his humbleness fool you about Panther , that thing is stunning and a perfect small fun boat….. when it runs.. Thanks Rick for reminding us what this weekend is all about.
WOW Rick great video, maybe a little better camera angles though next time.! How many of our spouses really know the true extent of the $$ spent? The MI people are known for their hospitality. Glad you had a good time in spite of your problems.
What I was really surprised at was even with Matt tearing down the engine on site we still could not get it running. I figured after he was done with it I’d be running circles around ‘Old School’ and that blue finned Cobra. Oh well.
I’ve seen Richard McHugh’s runabout John’s Gift and she’s beautiful with a tear jerking story. WoodyBoater should do a story on it. Richard always has some great stories from when he worked on high tension electrical lines too, a real character.
Rick I’ve seen your boat and she is nice. Any chance of you coming out to California?
Not unless the airlines ease the restrictions on carry-ons. Though Panther may fit under the seat in front of me. I will be in the Knoxville area this coming week though so if anyone from Chattanooga up to Knoxville wants to go WoodyBoating contact me. I’ll actually be based in Vonore for the week.
Whose “handle” is “ToredoWorm”??!!!
Those are FIGHTING WORDS to us southern cruiser guys!!
Highly impolitic to pick such an AWFUL name.
May rainwater rot your topsides……while the worm is eating our undersides!!!
The Brits lost whole WARS because of that dreaded beast.
John in Va.
Accept nothing less than WoodyBoater Brand Tequila. The one with the Teredo Worm in the bottle. Aged in wooden casks made from old Florida docks. Eat the worm!
That’s what we need next WoodyBooze. Maybe that swamp boat guy con connect us with the real thing.
