The 40th Annual Algonac “Where it All Began” boat show, hosted by the Michigan Chapter, Antique & Classic Boat Society, started on Friday with a wet but wonderful cruise to Club Capri for lunch. There was an evening reception at the Algonac Harbor Club, which is the location of the original Chris-Craft plant.

The hot dog boat is an entire story unto its self. Water Weenie was its original name. Now been restored – HERE is the story

Thank you David for the great show photos and story and Matt for the late report!
You will notice my first mate was not aboard for our lunch run on Friday. She had the good sense to get a car ride over to Club Capri and stay dry.
Nice plugs for Port Sanilac and Port Huron also. I could not have done it better myself.

Greg, the idea to promote Pt. Sanilac and Pt. Huron was Steve Tuzinowski.

I was asked to do a submission last week when it was noted that there hadn’t been a post of the Algonac show. I was happy to help.

Way to go Dave! That was alot of work capturing the entire event with all those photos of both the boats and the people. What a variety and a great show of cruisers. My favs are the 2 chit-chatting in Brother’s Keeper on the trailer and the photo of the prewar triple runabout docked could be framed.
Thanks Matt for sharing them onto everyone.
