This weekend up in Geneva Lake..on Lake Geneva, what ever its officially called, or how that makes sense, the good folks at the Blackhawk Chapter of the ACBS are having there big annual Shing Ding this year featuring Streblow Boats. . Now.. So you can’t make it this weekend? We get that.. If you are close enough to make the drive, we would go for sure. But for some lame reason you aint going. You can now fake it thanks to Woody Boater and reporter martin Anderson.

You can brag to all your pals that you hopped on your private jet and jetted up to Lake Geneva to sip on some wine and hob nob with Oprah and the Wrigglys. Here is how. First come back to Woody Boater, comment as if you are there. Report on anything. So , how may you do that. Well, they have a facebook page, and are posting pictures. You can claim the pictures are yours. If you know photo shop, that’s even better.

Launching my new Riva this morning. It looked a lot bigger in the eBay listing. Perhaps buying on line was not such a good idea.
Since I have no idea what Matt’s doing, I’m heading off to Fontana on the west end of “Geneva Lake” where the Abby Resort is hosting the Backhawk Chapter ACBS show. The CITY of “Lake Geneva” is on the east end of “Geneva Lake”. It’s a nice place to spend money but you won’t find the boat show there. So…Lake Geneva is the city, Geneva Lake is the lake. I’ll send some pictures today.

What a great setting for a Classic Boat Show. The Abbey Resort and Marina are first class and Eddy Snyder and his crew do a great job clearing out slips for all the Classics to dock up for the weekend.
I was there last Tuesday and Eddy said they were getting ready to move a lot of boats, to get ready for the show.
But but but… I was really there proudly wearing my new WOODY BOATER t-shirt.
Hard to believe that three dimensional mirror is actually being put in the water! Don’t want to even think how long it takes to make an aluminum boat shine like that.
