Classic Minnesota Part 4: Live From The 2013 Gull Lake Classic Boat Show In Bar Harbor, MN
Saturday morning rush hour at Bar Harbor, MN as the majority of the boats arrive for the 2013 Gull Lake Classic Boat Show. But this is a good kind of rush hour as the great dock assistants and show organizers systematically move all the boats in to their designated slips. More than 60 boats are in attendance this year, with more on land display.
Every size and marque is represented at this years show, with an outstanding selection of both wooden and fiberglass classics, including 11 boats from Lee Anderson’s collection and 5 boats from John Allen’s collection. Some serious wood here again this year.

Mavis Zachary with her sweet 1955 Century 17′ utility and Jim Aamondt in his very original Kermath powered 1929 26′ Hackercraft triple prepare to back in to their assigned slips at Bar Harbor.
Once the boats arrived, the folks were hard at work cleaning them up for the thousands of spectators today and tomorrow.
With temperatures in the mid 90’s this afternoon, the traditional Saturday boat parade out on Gull Lake promises to be a big hit, and we will be there with cameras in hand on board Dave Bortner’s all original 1973 Century Coronado hard top c/w 8 track player and original 454 Crusader.
Stay tuned for more updates from Gull Lake – Classic Minnesota. WooHoooo!!

Ride a thoroughbred
Heck, no Cheteks?! Love that Larson hardtop, though.
I had to do a double-take on the Century Sea Maid because it wasn’t sporting 1948 hardware and 1948 blonding patterns. “Maid in 47” looks like a 1947 model. CQ
Nice work Charley. I did that to see if the Century guys were paying attention…
((The truth is I made a mistake, but don’t tell anybody)
