Clayton 2012 – Fantastic Weather And Fantastic Boats!
Thanks to fellow Woody Boater Natashia Kadimik we can get a glimpse of what it was like up in Clayton on Saturday. No descriptions of the day, so.. you know what that means. We get to make them up!

Some cool post war action. OK its not action, its just sitting there. But its cool, and its free to you, so stop complaining! LOVE THOSE Jr’s

Ahhh, the inside of the museum is a living show as well. So if you still want to go see Clayton, you can enjoy a wonderful day at the museum.
Thanks Natashia for the fun pics from Clayton.
The water is too clear, damn those zebra mussels!!
Have they come up with anything yet to combat those?
Any auction results??
Nice header with Paul “Big as a billboard” Harrison in some nice woody!!
A very nice woody!
Just FYI, the Riva is a Rudy not a Junior. Very similar to a Series 3 Junior but came after and are made of glass. Great boats!
Rudy rudy rudy! I love those little rivas. Thanks Marty…
Great pictures Natasha! But, where are the pictures of John’s new purchase? Inquiring minds wanna see!
I saw John’s new purchase!!! You will have to go visit John and Kim in person to see this true treasure. I hope to visit them next summer to have a drink aboard this one of a kind boat and help raise the flag.
We had a great time in Clayton Thanks to everyone there.
See you in Manotick or Buffalo.
So nice to see three generations of the Keyes family having a great time with their 30′ Hacker “Grandpa’s Dream”. A great family with a great boat. Can’t wait to raise the flag with you guys next summer.
Can someone tell us the Auction results ?
Hi,
Attended most of the auction. Interesting results with some real bargains on the non-reserve vessels. Most shocking was the Pacemaker Cruiser going for an unbelievable $250. Yeah, $250. The auctioneers had to work hard to get even that paltry sum. The 18ft. Lyman went for $1150. The marblehead cruiser went for $2200. Reserve boats stalled out at about half the asking. (The reserves were not unreasonable either). Well attended auction with about 100+ folks on hand. Had to leave about 2/3rds of the way through right about time the CC Cadet was on the block. Judging from response to that point I doubt the CC reached reserve.
