Extend What’s Left Of Summer By Going To A Classic Boat Show!
It’s that time of year. That time that in most areas you are tricked into thinking that Summer is over.. Oh no it isn’t.. In fact it’s the best type of boating, low humidity, and still warm days. The other thing is that the sun is lower, so photography is even better. Lower light reflects off the boats and creates a more dramatic photo. One way you can extend the summer feel, is to go to one of the many shows over the next three weeks. Nothing like going out on a boat and putting on your sun screen. So get out there.. today, tomorrow, next weekend.. Any size show, from a fantastic one in Buffalo today, or smaller ones still happening.. The ACBS calendar is on the left of the page.. Go, stop reading today and go! Ya got all winter to read Woody Boater.. Go! Go! Stop reading.. Get out of here. STOP Reading.. I aint gonna write anything interesting.. But down the bacon, and go to a show.
Sun? Is that the bright sky thing they have in Florida?
Here we have a soft diffused light and falling water droplets that help bring out the grain and make the interior colors pop.
Nice shot of Rich and Beth Lepping’s Larson Falls Flyer. Look for it at the International. You won’t see one of these for years…then TWO show up at the Madison show this year! The Minocqua Chamber of Commerce called to thank Woody Boater for the pub. But could you work on the spelling of their town?
Sorry John – I have to fess up, that typo re the name Minocqua is my fault (not Matt this time). By the way, this is a fantastic area of Wisconsin.
As you can see, I am a fan of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off…
Just finished an 80 mile round trip to the Sacramento River Delta and back in Disco for lunch – 93 degrees and beautiful. Dragged Tony Brown and Sabina along!
It was glorious! Thanks Marty for a perfect day boating in Disco!
