Finger Lakes Report With One Finger. No, Not That Finger.
Today we get to bask in some of the best of the Finger Lakes. Thanks to Syd Marsden and his “Index Finger” The one that pushes send on the ole texter machine. Of course the rest is up to me, just the way I like it. And if you don’t.. well. I have a little finger for ya! Sorry, really did not mean that. Just a fun way to end the paragraph.. Lets get on with the pics for Gods sake. Okay, sorry about that as well, didnt mean to pisss off the god people here. Not that you get pissed off, UGh.. FORGIVE ME! Just lets just move on please.
I have friends with fingers! (and of course a pontoon.) (I should get you to photoshop that pontoon out of this pic.)
Looks like a great show. I love those long narrow excursion boats. They are a thing of the past in Michigan.
BTW, I like the fire bottles located all along the main dock. Excellent idea!
I thought they were Growlers!! 🤷♂️
The small tour boat in front of the judge Ben Wiles is the Pat II and is the old mail boat from the lake. The Finger Lakes Boat Museum restored her over the last 7 years I think it was and this was her first time back in 30 years. They converted her to electric motor
It was a great weekend and show
Thar she blows!
Anybody have a clue?
An aristocraft? Either way nice paint scheme. Nice show pictures also.
Couple of questions:
Which of the lakes?
Where is M-fine?
great pix, many thanks to syd.
John in Va.;
Skaneateles Lake. I also want to mention that it was a rare moment that Greg got to sit down. He had a crowd around him basically all weekend that we’re asking him questions all the time and he is so willing to share all is knowledge on both how he builds them and the history of the real boats
Does Greg have a website? Great models!
This show was on Skaneateles. The Wine Country show the last week was on Keuka.
Tobler had surgery a week and a half ago, so I was home serving as a dog recovery nurse and missed both shows this year.
Another great show! Nice boats, I knew there would be a Penn Yan show up. Thanks for sharing Syd.
Beautiful shots, thanks Syd!
