Fun On The Water Lapkin Style With A Splash Of Algonac

One word. WOW – Miss Algonac

This past Friday as I said we were blessed with one of the best boating days that the planet earth can create. In fact this is where power boating was started, and our boats know that in there grain. And we are also blessed to have Steve Lapkin here to capture the colors, the boats, and most of all, the soul of Power Boating. Algonac Michigan.

Picture perfect day

And best of all, we can all bask in just a small taste of it all here, or from your lounge chair. Or toilet if you are on your phone. HEY. You know I hit home there.

Miles of smiles

George is wondering, how did I get involved in all this?

See George, that smell isnt me, its the boat. I normally would blame mr B.. But..

Wow nice photos,. It’s 4:20 in the morning. These new photos are already up. Although I guess the time explains the reason.

Well, we sure had a great time with Matt, George and Wayne. They got a good taste of Michigan gang boating. Sorry they couldn’t join us for the Old Club run this morning. We will be heading down the South Channel about 8:30 for a great brunch and presentation from our guest speaker, Steve Larpkin. One last Wahoo for our 100 years of Chris Craft party!

Dang guys looks like you had a great day yesterday!
I’m just sorry I missed it!
Love hanging out with the Michigan guys just a great group!
And they know how to put on a good show.
The GarWood loves to back to water in the St Clair river! She just seem to run better there!
    Sorry I missed it!

FYI Troy maybe Bessy is trying to tell you she’s ready to retire also? Let her go get on the boat and start the loop!
Call me any time if you need a help for any leg of the run.
I would love just being on the boat!

I was in the show yesterday and had a great time. A big turnout and a sunny, hot day.

FYI there were 3 Cobras there and I saw Matt taking pictures of the lifting rings so I think the debate will continue!

Great reports! Went on the Chesapeake this weekend…the Bay not the Dog..the dog is really a beauty….only true American breed….for me at least. Truly a one man dog though.

    Keep sending the fine pics.

Congratulations to the Michigan crew on an awesome show. It was a beautiful day in an amazing location. Many thanks to Jack Jensen & Greg Lewandowski for being excellent hosts. It was a pleasure to meet Matt, George Butler & Steve Anderson, as well. Very much enjoyed the rides in ‘Cracker Jack’ & ‘Tiger Lily’. As a long time Ohio River rat, the blue of the water & how low to the water the homes sit, was difficult to process.

Art and Greg, I was looking for you both on Saturday, but you were always a step ahead of me! We’re all local so I am sure we’ll get a chance to see each other.

Kelly and Matt, it was great to see you in person!

Safe travels to everyone heading home.

What a great show👍 I was going to comment yesterday but the cell service in the UP is not everywhere. I did not get a chance to meet up with fellow Woody boaters. But I did get a chance to talk to some of the Michigan gamg, and heard some great stories from older people who had worked at the Chris Craft factory.😃 The boats were exceptional. It made for a fun day! Hope to see some of you people in Hessel this August.
