The Geneva Lakes Keep Summer Alive! Live-ish From Lake Geneva!
This years 2014 Blackhawk chapter of the ACBS show is a doozy! With wonderful tours and a fantastic collection of the regions finest boats were all gathered together to celebrate a wonderful summer and just milk the weather for as long as possible. This time of year can be the best boating of the entire year all around the country.
Your boat is all dialed in, no humidity and clear water. On top of all that, the light is perfect for photography. The sun sits low this time of year and reflects perfectly on the water and mahogany. Thanks to Matt Byrne and Mark Svoboda for taking some great pictures of a great event! You can visit the Blackhawk Chapter website HERE

I love this photo. Not sure why, I suppose it captures the joy of youth and the joy of discovery at the time someone realizes that these boats are amazing regardless of how old they are.
Thanks for tuning in. More fun as it comes in !
Thanks Matt, you’re the best! We still have one more day of fun with perfect weather. My goal is to leave with an empty gas tank!
Great header shot Matt B!!
I can hear’m honking
Your captions are really punny.
my favourite of all the pictures is Nenemoosha a triple cockpit built by Peter Breen of Rockton Ontario. His boats reflect the shine of a Muskoka summer. Thanks for sharing
Nice quality photos and a very interesting mix of boats. The Van Dam is such understated elegance. Of course, I’m a sucker for a dark blue hull.
Thanks for posting Matt.
Sweet. What a pretty setting.
Looks like a place where one could enjoy an entire summer….That is if I could afford it ????
Great show and about the best fall weather anyone could hope for, thanks to all those behind the scenes that put these shows together. I had to leave at 4 so I missed the parade and Sunday’s activities but I did get to meet some Woodyboaters and closet Correct Craft Fans. I just hope this wasn’t my last gasp!
