Wow, was that almost a year ago? Yikes..

Did you miss last years epic Woods And Water event on Gull Lake? Well, Mr Sitonthesofa you get another chance to bask in the Gullness of it all in a couple days ish. This weekend, August 27th Right at the same place, with some of the same boats, and better yet, the same welcoming Minnesota smiles will be there. CLICK HERE FOR THE GULL LAKE SHOW SITE The good news is that this time, you may actually be able to walk on the docks and go for a ride. Cause this group likes to go Woody Boating, and the location could not be more perfect. Great food, great weather, and jaw dropping boats. Just the John Allen and Lee Anderson stuff is worth the trip… but its the little original stuff pulled out of boat houses and barns that really makes it special. This area is one of the top Woody Boater destinations, so if you are close by, like a days drive, its worth it. Bring the family by the way. Its that kinda place, nice but no snootyness.

Take a tour of the lake. You can stay at Madden’s on Gull Lake. There is golf and spa stuff. now, if you go to a classic boat show and play golf though, you need help.. Serious help. If you can, book dinner at the Bar Harbor Supper Club on Gull Lake. Its amazing and right at the show. The entire area is what you would expect Woodyboaterville to be like. Not themed or over done, just perfect…. Want to read more on the subject?

Time to pull the plug and head North!! Who would have ever thought (except that guy with the gun and badge) it was illegal to tow your boat in Minnesota with the plug in?

There are several good reasons to pull the plug in your boat be it in Minnesota or elsewhere……..but especially in Minnesota where lake quality is treasured in all 14,000 lakes!
