Hold On To Your Hats – The 2011 Woodies On Lake Sinclair Boat Show Is Fast Approaching

,

We all know what happens when we leave things to the last minute…

We end up rushing to get to the boat show on time, which can make for a bumpy ride.

If your in the south east, why not avoid the last minute bumps and make plans now to attend a great local boat show in Georgia.

The Blue Ridge Chapter ACBS is hosting the 2011 Woodies on Lake Sinclair in central Georgia on May 13th & 14th. The second annual event is organized as a local antique & classic boat show to provide folks in the surrounding area the opportunity to get out and experience some classic boating on Lake Sinclair. Here’s the information which was provided to us by the Blue Ridge Chapter ACBS.

Here’s a few more great images from the 2010 Woodies on Lake Sinclair event, courtesy of Miracle Photography. Robert & Linda Miracle will also be on hand to cover the Lake Sinclair event again this year.

Throughout the year, the local antique & classic boat shows that are organized by the ACBS chapters provide an enjoyable, low key environment for everyone to enjoy… Something for everybody.

Regardless where the event is, the local shows always present the spectators with a wide range of classic boats from the area, in some cases these old boats have spent their entire life in the region and are still in use by the same families that originally purchased them back in the day… And they all have an interesting history.

Special thanks to Robert & Linda Miracle from Miracle Photography, in Anderson, SC for providng the images for this story, you can click here to view his photo gallery which is updated weekly.

We went to the Sinclair show last year and it was great fun. It should be nice and warm by then-the first show we can wear shorts to.

If you haven’t been to Crooked Creek Marina yet they have a KILLER restaurant/bar called Bone Island grill. It makes for a very festive show.

It’s only about 90 minutes east of Atlanta, GA.
