I Am Moving To Jersey! I Don't Care What Exit!
I went to the Bruce Springsteen concert last night here in DC. What an amazing show. I recall his shows form the early 80’s… I think, it was a fuzzy time… Anyway last night I sat there… stood there, and thought, ya know what? Those guys from Lake Hopatcong NJ are always the life of the party, the lake is beautiful, and then there is Bruuuuuce. New Jersey is full of very cool folks….. OK there is Bon Jovi, and Newark. But no ones perfect, in fact it adds to the texture of life. After all I like my stuff with a little patina. So I am off to the Lake Hopatcong show on June 27th. Maybe the Boss will be there and we can rap about music and boats…mmmm I should bring some songs that I have written and a demo tape…
Went to the Hopatcong show for the 1st time last year and had a blast! Great location people and organization.
NJ should apologize for producing Loose Bedspring. It’s a beautiful state though.
I believe that it is Jon Bon Jovi that has the love for wooden boats. Both he and Bruce are faithful citizens of the Garden State. Lake Hopatcong can have quite a few boats on it at one time which can make for a rocking drift. Not unlike Greenwood Lake on the border of northern New Jersey and New York, halfway in both. They have a wood boat show in July I think. Best to catch these lakes at the ends of the season or the weekdays. Happy boating
If Bon Jovi is into classic boats I would love to do a story on him and Kid Rock who is also a fan of classic boats as is Alan Jackson. I will also look up Greenwood Lake, we are always looking for cool new spots. What i love about lake Hopatcong is the people i have met from there. They are active in the hobby and a joy to be around. The choppy water doesnt bother me … since I live in VA..
