Lake Arrowhead This Weekend! Be There Or Be Board All Weekend While We Have Fun!

Tell your wife your going on a around the world trip. LA, then the alps. She will never know you are at a boat show.
If you are in the area we would love to meet you and have some Woody Boater fun this weekend up on Lake Arrowhead. Both Texx and I will be there spreading the gospel of The Sons Of Varnish. We are looking forward to some major fun up on the Lake, and then, on Saturday night we are the speakers at the big dinner… HA.. shhhhh don’t tell anyone, I have no idea what we are speaking on.. Maybe I will just sit behind a keyboard and type out something.. and let the crowd comment.. How does one speak in typo? The gang in Southern California is fantastic and have some of the nicest boats in the nation, we will for sure be reporting on all the fun. If you are so inclined the show is Saturday with some fun stuff on Friday, it’s around 2 hrs outside of LA in the mountains. It’s a nice drive and once you are up around the alpine lake, it’s like being in Europe. And a outlet mall to boot. So you can arive in old cloths and leave in style.. If you are into more intimate shows compared to a Lake Dora show for example, this is it. See you there…Wooohoooo we’re going jet lag boating! You can find out more about the SoCal Acbs folks here.
Also – If you are planning to attend the Lake Arrowhead show this weekend, bring your favorite vintage hockey stick…
The folks in the SoCal area have “hockey fever” right now, as the LA Kings are now 3 – 0 in the Stanley Cup series against the NJ Devils.
Theres a good chance that a game of street hockey will break out in the parking lot on Saturday night after the boat show banquet, or better yet – in the hotel lobby!
There are very few things that would keep me from watching Matt’s speech on Saturday night. One, however, would be to watch my beloved Kings win the Stanley Cup for the first time in their 45 year existence. I have been a die hard Kings fan since I was 11. So, hopefully they will win it all tomorrow night so I can be at the Saturday dinner watching Matt, instead of a hundred feet around the corner watching the game at the bar.
Texx and I can just turn on the TV for the night and just sit there. That works for me.
Who could have imagined that Woodyboater would be coveing all these events all over the place?
Thanks for the devotion. And I only ever watch the Stanley Cup Finals…..all the other games are fights at which a hockey game broke out….not the finals….SERIOUS hockey….and serious Woodyboater devotion…both boadering on the fanatical! gotta love it!!!
John in Va.
Matt & Texx, I will ask the resort for a big screen, no, a large screen, no a Huge screen, no, How about we project the Kings game outside on the side of the Village so we can sitback in our boats and enjoy the game. Brian, leave your skates and hockey stick at home I just varnished
Mahalo!
Oh Boy an outlet mall! I guess I will leave NJ to go to one.
