Matt’s contributions to his local chapter and to the ACBS itself in building our new membership management system and managing the website for the last year were vastly important to the Society. Matt is a quiet, humble guy who’s contributions have been critical and almost all behind the scenes. I was very pleased that he received this recognition, and it was richly deserved. Matt is also one of the nicest guys in the hobby, in a hobby filled with nice folks. He has great boats, too!
Congratulations Matt!
Got to spend some time with Matt, Lisa, and Miss Lisa at the Sunnyland Festival this spring.
For clarity sake. The Matt being so glowingly in this story is Matt B not me. In no way have I contributed anything to the ACBS other than grief! Ha
Out for a ride in the Florida morning sun in Miss Lisa with Matt B.
When / where will the full results be posted? Checked ACBS.org and ACBS Facebook to no avail. Maybe that will be a feature of the new website?
Shannon – The ACBS doesn’t offer to share that information with us (other organizations usually do for media purposes) so we can only rely on information from people who attended the banquet. It will eventually show up on the ACBS website. – Texx
Congratulations to Jeff Peterson for winning the inaugural Bob Speltz “Spirit of the Sport” Award! As a member of Tahoe Maritime Museum’s Board of Directors, we know Jeff has a true passion for wooden boating and preserving the history. Plus, we know he’s just a fun guy to spend time with on the water or around the docks! So glad to see Jeff got this recognition at the International Show.
