Live – ish and In Focus-ish From Grand Rapids Water Wonderland Show!
Fellow Woody Boater Dennis Mykols reporting in from Grand Rapids. The Water Wonderland Chapter of the ACBS no doubt is in full force pushing the wonderful world of classic boats on the planet..up there… And of course, no captions, So I am free to make stuff up ! Woohooo! This my favorite stuff.

The Great Lakes Boat Building School was ..is there as well. This is the class in which you learn how to sit at a show and brag about the boat you just built! laugh, it aint easy telling 100 folks the same story of how you bent that plank. Things start getting confused.

A Canoe, owned by someone that likes canoes. And small canoe motors. Its a canoe party in Grand Rapids. Everyone gets a canoe.. only one per customer, while supplies last, only one available.

OK, this is very cool, and nice matched set. Like pees and carrots, and thats all i have to say about that.

A Woody! Phew, OK now we are cook’n with gas.. mind you old gas, ethinol old gas that has clogged all the fuel lines so the poor Woody is good for one thing. Shows!

WOW! Justin Beeber is there. Ok, maybe wrong, anyone under 18 looks like Just Beeber to me. I do aplaud is desire to switch from a music carrier to boat building. Finaly a real job.

This thing, what ever it is, is cool as hell. I love every detail. Except that I have no idea what it is. Wait, I just looked it up. Its a 1962 Whatchmacallit!
Thanks for tuning in and having some fun with the great folks from the Water Wonderland Cahapter, Dennis you are the man of the hour. but just for an hour, then its all someone elses we find! Fame is fleeting Dennis. Just ask Beeber up there!
Great shots from The Great Lake State. Love the twin Merc’s on that lapstrake of unknown origin. Those boats look wonderful in that blinding winter Michigan sunshine.
Twin Towers
The white lapstrake is a1961 Dunphy raised deck camper with twin 1961 Mercury 800 outboard motors.

Matt you are a fruit loop. How do you come up with this stuff?
You did a pretty good job on the captions, Matt, but for those sticklers for detail, here is a bit more. Pic 1 is a ’56 Crestliner Voyager, incredibly clean aluminum boat with a Johnson 35 Super Sea Horse for power. Pic 4 is a 1935 Old Town square stern canoe wit a an early 2 hp Johnson. Pic 5 is a 1961 Willys, the sweet two vehicle for the Crestliner. Pic 6 is a 1941 Century 16-footer. Pic 8 is a 1948 Chris Craft Custom, powered by a CC MCL. Pic 9 is a 1961 Dunphy raised deck camper with twin ’61 Merc 800s. Pic 10 is a 1948 Chris Craft 16′ Sportsman.
