Live – ish and In Focus-ish From Grand Rapids Water Wonderland Show!
Fellow Woody Boater Dennis Mykols reporting in from Grand Rapids. The Water Wonderland Chapter of the ACBS no doubt is in full force pushing the wonderful world of classic boats on the planet..up there… And of course, no captions, So I am free to make stuff up ! Woohooo! This my favorite stuff.
Thanks for tuning in and having some fun with the great folks from the Water Wonderland Cahapter, Dennis you are the man of the hour. but just for an hour, then its all someone elses we find! Fame is fleeting Dennis. Just ask Beeber up there!
Great shots from The Great Lake State. Love the twin Merc’s on that lapstrake of unknown origin. Those boats look wonderful in that blinding winter Michigan sunshine.
The white lapstrake is a1961 Dunphy raised deck camper with twin 1961 Mercury 800 outboard motors.
great report! I like the jeep wagon…had a jeepster of the same era….cool.

” ok this is very cool like peas and carrots, a matched set.”
Matt you are a fruit loop. How do you come up with this stuff?
You did a pretty good job on the captions, Matt, but for those sticklers for detail, here is a bit more. Pic 1 is a ’56 Crestliner Voyager, incredibly clean aluminum boat with a Johnson 35 Super Sea Horse for power. Pic 4 is a 1935 Old Town square stern canoe wit a an early 2 hp Johnson. Pic 5 is a 1961 Willys, the sweet two vehicle for the Crestliner. Pic 6 is a 1941 Century 16-footer. Pic 8 is a 1948 Chris Craft Custom, powered by a CC MCL. Pic 9 is a 1961 Dunphy raised deck camper with twin ’61 Merc 800s. Pic 10 is a 1948 Chris Craft 16′ Sportsman.
