HOLY CRAP! The Skipper made it, and he’s been dead since 1990. These guys in Tahoe really go the extra mile.
Here we go. Lots of dock shots. But mamma mia, that is some sort of amazing dock stuff. WOW. WOW WOW. The light there is amazing, and the boats are CAAARAZY! GAAAAAAAARWoods and all. Thank you so much Steve for sharing. Now everyone else, get out there you crazy kids. There are boats to break down in waiting for you. Lift and Sniff!
We need more young people.
OH HELL YA
Winner of the best hat placement award.
Best Beach ball award! The abstract line coil is very mid centeury as well
Okay that is bad ass cool. I LOVE CALIFORNIA
Love the simplicity of it all. DAISY just seems sweet, and simple. NICE
One of Lake Tahoes Golden boats
Okay that is a party barge for sure. And I bet cheaper than some peice of ship pontoon boat! Just sayn
Best Engine Hatch cover cushion award.
I LOVE THIS NAME
Somehow I am not sure this does to well out on Lake tahoe
STILL THE NUMBER ONE NAME FOR A BOAT ON THE PLANET EARTH. The colors the entire thing, the back story.. Dork was a typo… and it stuck.
Says it all Satin decks! Oh hell ya
Winner of the best coiled up line on a dock. Note the way the line ends inside of the coil as if its one with the line, and note over on the right, a dent thus showing the contrast of a good line coil vs a sloppy one. Technically called a Flemish Flake BTW.
))& Okay, I hit the shift key
Another killer name and one hell of a line coil, but that little blue and white line end is a deducted point
What a powerful name and deep meaning. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 when the armistice was signed. One could extrapulate that in a way the owner was at war with life, job, wife? And the boat is an armistice of sorts. Or maybe its from the Book, The Eleventh Hour – A Guide to The minutes and hours before death? YIKES! Or? Just be careful if he asks you if you want a ride. You may want to take some cocktails with you.
Another Lake Tahoe special winner, and very nice symmetry in duel Flemish Flakes Maybe a special award for team line coils?
Rots of Rivas
Again
Do they miss Virginia, or is it Miss Virginia? Or ?
Someone had to say it.
NOW THATS A DASH!
Bring on the play pens . I wonder what would happen at night with a black light? WHAT? OH COME ON. What in the heck do you think thats there for?
This one you can sit up kinda and watch TV while you are “Sunbathing”
I HAVE NO IDEA what this is all about. But it sure is wild
LOVE!
Okay, here we go again. Peppers? Ham? The Town? Mexican? Italian, Spanish? I am so confused. It is a great name, and its spicy for sure.
The colors on this Capri are perfect. PERFECT
Perfect font for the period
Okay, not sure again what this is, BUT DAM! That is some kinda fine!
A Tahoe Legend
Sweet Pea Lake Tahoe style – But does it have a new electric toilet?
Simple and to the point…. Dart.. point.. OH COME ON, That was clever… Right. Duke.. POINT.. DARTS have points. Move along.. Next.
Well, this little beast will not be ignored… And stay tuned!
And as a special treat, Here is an old post from The Blue View Blog on Line Flakes. OH, there are many to choose from. The Flemish Flake, The Figure 8 Flake.. And to even go a tad deeper, It’s called Flemish the line to make that round Flemish Flake. YA. This is not helping you go out on your boat right away. Oh and BTW times 2.. Its safe to google Flemish Flake. Thats all I will say about that. Here is a great video on Flemishing

Very cool! All boats are out of this guy’s price range, for sure! I did notice a Century Coronado in a couple of photos. I think I am falling in love with the Coronado! To each their own, I guess. Thanks Steve for the great photos!!!
Greg Lewandowski says:
Yes, those are some dock shots. Definitely the corner office boats at this show!

That is a lot of varnish to judge. Not sure if I would want to be a judge at that show with so many incredible boats but you would be able to get up close and personal. Great job Steve and Matt. Must have taken quite a bit of time to put this all together.
Jeff Funk says:
Great pix! Thx for sharing. Makes me want to get busy cleaning my own boat.
Mike D says:
Flakes, Flemish Fakes, whatever, I judge by the way the line is wrapped around the dock cleat. I don’t know how many times I had to redo my work because the last wrap was going the wrong way. But that’s just me…
JD says:
The Paragon was a modified ski nautique offered for a few years by correct craft. Basically was their ski boat with wood and different upholstery. Maybe to compete with the fiberglass “wood” elite crafts?
As JD mentions, the Paragon was a Ski Nautique with mahogany trim & classicly styled upholstery. The backstory was that a family who owned antique wood boats wanted a ski boat for their teens & guests to play with. Thinking a standard one too modern, they commissioned a custom version. Correct Craft was so pleased with the outcome that they offered it as an upscale addition to their lineup for a few years.
Dick Dow says:
The engine box upholstery (and the rest) on the big utility as well as the satin finish on the triple are correct for that era of Garwood. Great show!
MikeM says:
Makes me wish I had made the trip down.
But if I was there I probably wouldn’t have watched the video on the Flemish 3-Way….

The Riva dash with the Chrysler steering wheel, just incredible. Was the typo on Dork originally supposed to be Dock?
