Live-ish From The Bob Speltz Land-O-Lakes Chapter Display In Minneapolis, MN

,

In Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes, the winter boat show is a big deal. And the nice folks from the Bob Speltz Land-O-Lakes Chapter ACBS are at the 2013 Minneapolis Boat Show front and center with a huge display of antique & classic boats. This afternoon we received some more Live-ish photos from the boat show thanks to fellow Woody Boater Mark Setterholm. We are working on a full story from the Minneapolis Boat Show for Sunday morning, so stay tuned for that. (Don’t forget you can click on the images to enlarge them)

“Polly Von” – a very cool 1930 19′ Dee-Wite Model 9 Runabout owned by Kermit Sutton was on hand.

From the magnificent John Allen collection, here’s “Tampa Baybie” a rare 1926 22′ Hacker Craft gentleman’s race boat.

Dave Bortner and crew from Freedom Boat Service in Mound, Minnesota were there with a beautiful 1959 26′ Riva Tritone powered by Twin Crusader V-8’s.

And last but certainly not least, an “in-focus” photo of this amazing 1957 Thompson 16’7″ Sea Lancer owned by fellow Woody Boater and Thompson club member Andreas Rhude.

Thanks to Mark Setterholm for sharing his photos with us today, and stay tuned for a full report from the Minneapolis Boat Show on Sunday here at Woody Boater. You can learn more about the very active Bob Speltz Land-O-Lake Chapter ACBS by Clicking Here to go to their great website.

I agree Sean. The reports we are getting from the Seattle and Minneapolis shows this weekend are all positive in terms of traffic and interest in the classics. Good to hear…
