More Live -ish Updates From Clayton!
We have a small taste today of more Clayton magic thanks to Kent O. Smith Jr and Michael Folsom from the Antique Boat Museum who sent us nice drone footage shot before the crowds clog the docks.
And as promised here is a nice video provided by the Antique Boat Museum..
Aaaaahhhh!!!! The River and it’s wooden ways. I hear that Acorn was the first on the block at the auction. It is good she needed a good home.
Wow !…I asked for drone shots…and Bingo !…You provided…What service…All great shots…Only way it could be better would be to be there. …and the piano music pretty good too….
I looked for my old “Red Rocket” ( aka Rocket) but didn’t see her…Wonder if Denny didn’t bring her back this year ?
Wonder ? is Baby Bootlegger hangining in a cradle or was she in the water ?
Baby Bootlegger was in the water.
Thanks for the drone shots!
Great shots of fabulous boats. Please make the drone stop spinning……..!
If you drink a bit less the drone and the room will both stop spinning.
Or so I hear.
Frankly, that beautiful photo of Baby Bootlegger is ruined due to the absolute crap plastic bumper in the shot. I know that those fancy woven jobs are much more expensive, but with a boat like that, I am sure that a few more bucks spent is no big whoop. Besides, the owner already spent cash on two – what is a another to keep the peace and to ensure beauty oozes. Maybe Matt can work his photoshop skills here….
Hi Brian, I took out the plastic fender for you. For the purists in you the original is in the story
This place has some amazing customer service!
I don’t like the guy in the yellow shirt. Have him removed. And that droopy dock line……
the shot of baby bootlegger: what is that drain deal in the bottom step just above the drive shaft??? Looks high dollar and ancient…but trustworthy??? Never seen one like that.
Maybe it is not even a drain??

THANKS KENT!
Great footage and AWESOME drone work. Love seeing Alen Jackson’s donation at 1:00 and what a joy to see “Pardon Me” floating.
Wish you were coming to Cobbossee next weekend.
WHOO HOO – PERFECT !! See that is sooo much better. Darn good job Matt! Thank you.
That was definitely a “fender faux pas” on ‘Bootlegger’ but the shots by Kent and the “drone” service were excellent. Tx guys. Looked like a beautiful day. Not much on cruiser coverage – looks light on registration of them. Usually they fill both sides of the dock. Who could blame them for staying home at the price of fuel.
I can barely detect faint plastic fender shadow and “rope” remnants in the header now that you have pointed it ou (and the fender shadow could be construed as the adjacent boat) – you are the master Matt. Hope your boys pick up that talent gene. They’ll be all the better for it. And could you airbrush me in “Bootlegger” while you’re at it.
Warning! Warning! Need more boat pictures. This reminds me of when you get addicted to a certain chocolate biscuit or similar when they one day start making the portion smaller. ” Hey wait, there used to be more chocolate” come on chaps! Each post needs to have at least 11 pictures. At least! All these wonderful boat shows and the coverage is pretty thin.
Less yik-yak more pictures please!
Thank you for all of the kind words on our videos. It was a very enjoyable weekend!
