On Gaston Pond – This Weekend!
We are prepping to make the short trek to Lake Gaston this weekend for there big show. For those of you interested, we will be bringing Thayer IV Hull #1460 to the show. This will be most likly one of the few shows she is taken to this year. Possibly one more before undergoing her preservation. Right now she is still in barn find rough shape, and trailering her to much is not good for her. We will be there starting Friday night through Sunday AM. Come on by. This is a great crowd, small show and fun to be had by all. We can also announce that the only time the two boats… Mariah the U.S. Mail Boat and Thayer IV will be seen at a show together in Barn fresh condition this year will be in Reedville VA in September. More on that show later. We hope to see you this weekend on Lake Gaston.. You can click here if you want more info..
How about an old Holsclaw or Tee Nee trailer that has some shock absorbers or monroe makes an after market shock retrofit for just about any trailer. That might help a little even for the short haul. The bumps and potholes are everywhere with our crumbling infrastructure.
What ever you do stay away from Long Island. By the time you’re done with the Cross Bronx Expressway all you’ll have is matchsticks. Hate that road!!
Is that a persian rug I see next to your trailer? It’s exactly what that garage needed to spruce things up!
Or is it the official welcome matt (sic) to Thayer IV? Ha.
