I can not believe we are even talking about Last Gasp week so soon, next I suppose it’s Christmas Sales down at the Mall. But time marches on, and “they” say this winter is going to be a whopper… With cheese!  We know this weekend, many Woody Boaters are up on Lake Geneva, or is it Geneva Lake, is one the town and one the lake? Anywhooo, they are up there in Lake Genveva… Lake, in Wisconsin, not in Switzerland. Not to be confused with Geneva NY, Geneva Illinois, Geneva Collage in Pennsylvania or Geneva Points which is a condo complex in California. For the record we are talking about Lake Geneva….Lake… There is a boat show there this weekend. This might be a last gasp for some, some not. The point is.. I don’t know what the point is anymore, I am still on the Geneva thing, like Geneva Idaho near Bear lake.. No really.. I mean can’t a town own it’s name anymore? Any way my point is…. Dam it! What was my point?   Oh ya, the point is, it’s that time of year where the ride you take, could be the last one. So milk it, enjoy it, and document it so when we have the official last gasp week here, you can share it. Plan something special, or with someone special, or on a special boat.

    No pictures of boats at the boat show ?? Where is Don Taylor’s Streblow ???

    …and no…We are not ready to put the boats away yet in Florida..in fact I just got notice of a car/boat show in central Florida in a few weeks.

    remember to look for the free streblow rides! kris and steve horton usually have one of their for sale boats at the boat launch offering free rides.

    ill be there in a couple of hours, even my oldest son is going!

    Beautiful in the ANE today. 80 degrees F, sunny, and very little wind. Was busy most of the day moving daughter Sam into a new apartment. Did get out for about an hour this evening, it was WONDERFUL.

    Oh Ya, Sam and I also watched the sun rise from a two person Kayak this morning. That was the real treat of the day.

    American Beauty is going to be pulled Oct 14th. Hoping for good weather over Columbus Day weekend, but most of the nation does not even recognize Columbus Day so you probably don’t even know what I am talking about. Will report in soon after.

    I was there yesterday. Beautiful weather, lotsa boats, lotsa people, lotsa food and music. Great show as always. I know Matt B is sending pictures. So I’ll let him.

    Dang! The weather is sooo beautiful this weekend that a major decision had to be made. Go to FONTANA, WI to look at beautiful boats tied up to docks on GENEVA LAKE as we’ve done for years and years….or…go boating on lakes not near as crowded this time of year? We took the Chetek to Okauchee Lake on Saturday and plan to hit Beulah today with the Correct Craft. Sorry, Blackhawk ACBS chapter….I know you hit it out of the park again this year with your show…but a Woodyboater has got to do what a Woodyboater has got to do! The sun and near 80 temps are going away this week.
