Remembering September 11th And Then There Is The 12th

,

Funny thing about coming back into the U.S. on September 11th from across the globe. You can feel all the changes in security that are now in place. I had to go through three different security checks to get into the airport in Atlanta. It’s a sad statement of how our lives have become here. But nothing compares to how many folks in Johannesburg live. They live behind walls with electrified barbed wire on top of those walls. With bars on the windows. Security guards and guard dogs around there homes. The more money you have, the more in danger you are. So I suppose if going through an airport security line 3 times is what I need to do than that’s fine. They did confiscate my Springbok jerky though.. dang that stuff is good… I am at work today even though I am very tired for one reason. To honor the folks that died on this day years ago, and to say. I am un-stoppable. We are un-stoppable and no terrorist or dumb ass is going to stop me from what keeps this country great. Tomorrow on the other hand, I am going to remove myself from present day and go Woody Boating at the Reedville Show in my home town of Reedvile Virginia. 33 boats are planning on being there, and even though it will be strange to not have 3 security guards around me, I will feel safe in my little bubble called Woodyboaterville. If you are near by. Say hey… if not, you can go to Missouri and buy some boats, cars, or tractors at this auction… click here and click on the image with a plane.
Here is a listing of whats for sale. Its a massive collection being auctioned off.

I am back. Thanks to Texx and others I made it through, and WoodyBoater was able to fulfil its promis with a story every day. We are off to the shows over the next three weekends with the final being in lake geneva with the Chris craft club. That one should be a ton of fun.

Great auction listing for some boats that will undoubtedly go cheap. Good, affordable entry-level stuff for people. That would be a real fun auction to attend.

Now Matt, I am no geography expert, but isn't Mound City in Missouri, not Montanta? If this auction was in Montana, there is a good chance I would go, but Missouri is a tad to far from Shuswap Lake BC.

I have been to South Africa, and in fact have driven all through it. I have lots of family living there. Beautiful country, but not certainly has security and other challenges. Nice to visit, but…..

"No geography expert…" Ha. I was packing my bags to make the drive from Seattle when I saw the auction listing! Good thing I clicked on Mapquest. That could have turned into one long drive. At least you edited the main story so no one else on the West coast is frantically packing bags and hooking up trailers! Good to have you back! Have a great weekend in Woodyboaterville. By the way, where is the link to be able to buy Woody Boater shirts and other swag?!
