This report just in from Lake Tahoe. Fellow Woody Boater and Mr Sierra Boats Herb Hall reports in. Take it away Herb.
First shots, Thursday at noon, the launching of Big Boy, a 1937 Gar Wood Custom Runabout, owned by Steve Hamill. This boat took two years to restore and this was its first run on the water. The people responsible for the restoration are piled in for a ride. This is one of only 9, 28’ customs that came factory equipped with a Scripps 300 series V-12.
We need some pictures, videos AND Sound of that Scripps pouring on the power!

Congratulations to Stephen Hamill and his crew that rebuilt Big Boy. I was wandering around the day before the show and couldnt get over what a beautiful boat that is!! I saw his book on the history of the rebuild and couldnt believe it!!! Told him he surely deserved the big prize for that beautiful boat. What a wonderful piece of boating history!!!
