South Lake Tahoe Show Report From Memory!
OK, so this is not live, but it is as fast as it all came in from the left coast. We are happy to report that Ventuno the amazing Katz’s Marina restored 21′ Cobra we reported on this spring from Lake Dora won best in class and best in show restored. Owner and fellow Woody Boater Steve Marini made the trek to South Tahoe with Ventuno this past weekend with fellow Woody Boater and master photo guy Steve Natale who shot some of the boats at the show for us. BUT, no words, so you know what that means. that’s right. We get to make them up..

1940 19’ Chris-Craft Custom Runabout lives full time on Lake Tahoe…. owners Michael & Kathleen Scroggie,
Good Grief! We actually know some of these boats from memory. Lets see how close we are???

This is a very nice Venetian Water Taxi was imported from Italy and restored by Sierra Boats Works of Lake Tahoe

Hornett II. Henry J. Kaiser’s 1930/39 Gar Wood race boat AMAZING! To see it is to believe it. Pictures don’t do this boat justice
I believe the phrase “stunning Rivas” is redundant.
WOW!
What a great looking show.
Love The Header!
Matt,
Probably been asked before but…are the preevious header images stored on the site where we can see them?
The headers are some of the greatest photos ever!
Bob
Got to tune in daily. All part of the tease I suppose. Once or twice a year we set the headers so when you refresh or click around, the 5 years of headers apear one at a time. Last time we did it we had 8000 clicks in aday. And lots of peolple late to work
and a slightly unprepared for law exam…
Funny, I remember that now…
As much as I would love to look through all the headers, don’t ever change that.
It is the addiction that makes sure I check in every day.
Here is one of my favorites!
I will post a few pics we snapped attending this well run and well attended show.

A correction on the water taxi. The boat has never been restored. The boat by wooden boat standards is fairly new built in the 70’s. the boat was varnished years ago by Sierra Boat Co. In 2012 the boat was taken to bare wood and refinished by Robinson Restoration. Most recently the boat received a new bottom by North West Classic Boats.
