Spring Into The Classic Boating Season This Weekend In Garvan Gardens, Arkansas
This weekend the Heartland Classics Chapter ACBS is hosting a popular boat show, nestled in the picturesque Ouachita Mountains of Southwest Arkansas, so if your in the area – here’s the information and links to the event from our friend Kathy Parker…

The Heartland Classics ACBS event at Garvan Woodland Gardens on Lake Hamilton near historic Hot Springs, Arkansas begins on the Thursday, March 29. Garvan Gardens is a University of Arkansas 210 acre botanical garden (www.garvangardens.com) and some years we have been lucky enough to share our beautiful classic boats with 121,000 tulips and other vibrant flowers in full bloom.
We’re headed there after a week at Tavares to catch another cruising and show event. This event is on your calendar, but here is a link to more information and to the registration forms (www.heartland-classics.org) . Here are a few pictures from previous Heartland Classics ACBS events at Garvan Gardens.
Heartland events always include food and fun and, of course, cruising in our classics.
Thanks again for all you do in support of our classic boating lifestyle and ACBS.

Thanks Kathy – It’s great to see that the antique & classic boat show season is now well under way in the south, with Lake Dora last week and the Garvan Gardens event this weekend… We can almost smell the flowers from here!

Wow. Boating and Botany. I love it. Too bad the landscape industry is in full swing with the early spring here in the northeast. Send photos. Thanks
Wish we could make it – bad timing again this year. That work thing seems to get in the way . . . ENJOY! And take lots of pictures!
What are you sucking up to me, putting up a picture of a Carver?
There is no place I’d rather be! But had to go with my hubby to his annual company meeting. Garvin Garden’s is on my calendar for next year! I promise!
Looks like a beautiful setting. Add my plea for plenty of photos, please.
Re the header photo, can’t decide whether that’s Charlie Mistele waving “WooHoo!” Or maybe he’s saying “Hey, not a fair start!” Or, it might be he’s saying “Hey buddy, it’s a no wake zone!” Then again, perhaps he pulled a PH (Paul Harrison) and is waving for help because he’s out of gas.
Photoshop ensign on Century, or real?
The classic boat shots are raw images we received from Kathy Parker.
We are hoping for more images of the show in Arkansas from Kathy during the weekend.
Probably real. We have burgees & ensigns showing our Heartland Classics logo. A close of of the logo is at the bottom of the story.
Beautilful show Kathy! It was great to see you and Don (alebit briefly) in Tavares. Made it home safe and sound with no major issues! Docks and hoists are going in here in Okoboji as it is supposed to be in the 80’s all weekend. Coronado is getting summarized today!
