Sunnyland Antique Boat Festival – Some Big Guns From Saturday
For any of you that have ever attended an antique & classic boat show, you know how busy these can be. The time just seems to fly by from early morning when you first arrive at the show until the evening events & hospitality functions end, usually late at might.
But we do have some images from the 2011 Sunnyland Antique Boat Festival that we can now share with our patient viewers. These are raw unedited images, just as they were downloaded from the camera this evening. No time to edit because we are receiving e-mails and comments asking when are the photos coming? Here they are…
The image above and first four below are of “Temperance” – One of our favorite Big Guns from the show. It’s a stunning 1929 26′ Dart (Silver Dart) owned by the Heitman’s from right here in Mt. Dora, Florida.
The Dart is powered by a 200 HP Kermath which just sounds so good running down the lake…
“Dream On” is a 1940 22′ Chris-Craft Deluxe Utility which is owned by Kirk Smith from Owosso, Michigan.
“Retrospective” is a beautiful 2005 H-Craft (Homebuilt) 22′ Gentleman’s Racer, owned by Andrew Smith from Buford, Georgia.
It’s powered by a 330 HP Chevrolet V-8.
“Fascination” is a 1929 28′ Chris-Craft Model 114 owned by Michael Hagen from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
“Grandpa’s Dream” is a 1985 Hacker Craft 30′ owned by Carman Keyes from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and is powered by a 454 Crusader. Carman and 3 sons enjoyed the St Johns River Cruise South, held just before the Sunnyland show. They also loved the Hot Weather instead of the freezing cold Canadian weather.
“Miss Flagship” is a 1935 Chris-Craft Triple Cockpit owned by Thomas Fileman, from Punta Gorda, Florida.
“Lisa Ann” is a very nice 1930 20′ Chris-Craft Model 100 owned by Ed Longino from Mooresville, North Carolina.
Stay tuned for more images from the Sunnyland Antique Boat Festival as they are downloaded from our camera’s tonight.

Hi Dave – I decided to not attend the Saturday night boat show party tonight so I could get some images posted instead.
More images will be up in a couple of hours…
Great job guys……gives me my fix for the night in this Michigan 20+ dedgree weather. Beautiful boats and craftsmanship…..thanks to you, your team and Matt.
Go Woody Boater. I hope all that fun does not hurt.
Grandpas Dream is owned by Carman Keyes Ottawa Ontario Canada powered by a 454 Crusader. Carman and 3 sons enjoyed the St Johns river cruise south. Also loved the Hot weather instead of the freezing cold Canadian weather.
Great Job Woody boater!!!
Thanks for the info Tom – I had trouble finding the stats on “Grandpa’s Dream” at the dock, but wanted to feature the beautiful boat in the story. I will edit the story to include the updated info.
Thanks Texx. Forgot to mention that it is a 1985 Hacker Craft 30′.
Great job on the website we just learned about it at the Tavares show.
If you get a chance there is going to be a lake cruise of Lake Champlain to Montreal Quebec. It should be another fun week, with a boat show to follow in Montreal. Grandpa’s Dream will be there.
