When you can’t decide how to prop your boat… why decide.
Yes, that Alex Watson, who has taken some time away from the Islander bar in Hessel. I am sure they are all wondering what happened to there tip money this week! Any who, Alex came loaded with empty photo cards and a big lens, and put his vision to work for us. We are driving back to Virginia for the day and will update on Monday.including video of the Cobra and Hydro racing. Who Wins?
Smile, you are on Woody Boater!
If you’ve ever bolted upright at night wondering what a Circraft would look like with a wide angle lens, now you know.
What for gods sake is this thing? Like a Killer whale? Bat thing. Whatever it is, it’s cool as heck!
plastic does have its good use!
Cool name, even cooler custom U22. We are lovi’n it as well.
A different point of view of a Cobra.. Very cool Alex

Great shots. Almost made me feel I was there. I know what I’m missing so now it hurts a little less. Keep it coming !
Great shots Alex. Thanks for sharing.
It was 9am do you know where your Woodyboater is?
Wishing safe haul-outs & travels for all! It’s been great fun, see ya next year!
ok, i’ll ask!
why is there a wheel and shifters on the port side of the sea skiff? for the wife? or maybe an prototype zeus style docking control?
cold in chicago
That’s the original set up that came in that Sea Skiff for a small outboard / fishing motor. Steer while you fish…
When I’ve seen setups like that it’s for when you’re fishing alone or with a freind. You don’t need to leave the cockpit to back down or chase the fish. Thought it was also optional on some boats? May be wrong on that and may just be owner devised.
Great pictures, Alex.
I snuck over for the show for a couple of hours, couldn’t stand not being there…walked the docks, saw some beautiful boats, got to say a quick hello to a few friends, found my dream boat and then raced back home to take care of randy (he’s doing wonderful).
Can’t thank our friends at WB for making my week more enjoyable – you all rock!!!
Have a safe trip home everyone…
Hi Ranger, really missed you’all this year! Glad Randy is healing fast.
Hey, You didnt see Adam West & Burt Ward around did you? …I think somebody has their boat on display!
BTW: Still lovin’ “Miss Step”…what a pretty boat!
The killer whale/Bat Boat you referred to is a Switzer Craft 15′ Shooting Star, vintage ’57 or ’58. As a kid I fell in love with one when I first saw a new one at a dealer in the late 50’s.
Thanks Alex! Great record of the day. I laughed out loud at the Old English Sheep Dog and his look a like owner. Great stuff thank you.
