Teaser Saturday, What? You Think You Can Just Sit At Home And Have All This Fed To You At Once?

YOUR GONNA HAVE TO WAIT!

Yesterday was spent at the tent, and meeting folks again after a year and some even longer. One thing is for sure, no one has starved over the covid years. MYSELF INCLUDED. We all just kinda sit and stare at, at, well anything that moves. Okay, maybe it’s just me. Ya, it’s just me. An update on WHOOPS, turns out the fuel pump was doing too good of a job and thus blew out some seals.

Kids these days!

No worries we had plenty of great advice, and thats what its all about. AND, we got ” The Guy of All Race Guys On It” Not even kidding. What a wonderful little world we live in here and Bill Hancock is amazing, we all know hime as DarthTrader. Ya never know who is behind the names here. Anyway Darth is doing up a plan for WHOOPS and we are all set..Once we get home.

No boat? No problem! And that extra lbs is a great cushion

In a way, breaking down was worth the trip here. AND THAT is the magic of Lake Dora. It isn’t the lake, the boats, the Cuban food, the sunshine, its the people, real humans, not zoom friends. Real actual humans. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING can replace that. God, I have missed that. and everyone here. UGH! Anyway enjoy some little tid bits of teasers. If you are alive, come on down.. No really, it’s Florida, breathing is all you need to be doing, it’s enough from what I have seen here.

The birds in focus. HEY! Its not all steak at this buffet

Some gator was looking at you on the grass thinking ” that looks like good eating” his buddy said ” I love northern cusine” then they both said give it one more day, he will eat more and maybe not be able to get up. So they waited….

I actually had the chance to chat with Bill Hancock at the “tent” yesterday and we had something in common other than WBer . He was “the” guy who was in charge of the engine skunk works for the Viper race program. He and I had a mutual friend, the late John Hinckley, who was the plant manager off the Viper/Prowler assembly plant. John was also a fellow Corvette enthusiast and had worked at Chevrolet Engineering with me in his early working career.

Side bar…………..the Whizoil works very nicely, thanks matt.

I like the hot link you provided for Bill Hancock’s career. I was not familiar with his work but what an amazing career. Another Chrysler Maine expert, Mikke Murley, who passed away less than a year ago cast a new Zenith carb for a Chrysler Ace motor for $120 for me. First of all, who can do that and second, for just that amount? Well, it was probably 8 years ago. I am amazed at the behind the scenes personnel that Chrysler hired and are still around to provide their expertise when needed.Matt, I hope you can milk Bill’s resolution of Whoops’ issue for our benefit. Motorheads want to know.

Wasn’t John Hinckley an engineer at the St Louis plant building the corvettes in the sixties?

Denis not that I recall, He was an engineer at the Chevrolet Engineering Tech Center in Warren Mi. He may have gone to ST. Louis occasionally, but was not assigned there.

Art, it may be a different John Hinckley but the one I’m thinking of was a wealth of knowledge on the C2 corvettes. I attended one of his seminars in Massachusetts about 10 years ago and was really impressed with his recall of minute details in their production.
