Were In Clayton – Just Because….

Just Because – It`s one the the best Antique & Classic Boat Shows on the planet.

For those of you that have not been to Clayton before, this is what it`s like as you get closer…

You see views of the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Thousand Islands as you cross the bridge…

You see evidence of the rich boating history in the area… and wooden boating…

You see things that you don`t normally see in the west… and learn that Amish folks don`t like having their picture taken! Ooops – Sorry…

Just because – You can stay at the Wooden Boat Inn…

Just because – You can go to the Antique Boat Museum… (More on that later)
Just because – You can see cool little wooden boats…

Just because – You can see cool big boats…
Just because – You can see cool wooden sedans…

Just because – You can see cool Chris-Craft boats… (Were hoping to get a ride in Lily – Chad)
Just because – You get to see and hear a perfect Dolphin on the water…

Just because – You can see folks going for boat rides on a warm summer evening…

Just because – You get to see a gorgeous Baby Gar…

From every angle…

Just because – You get to see a Man and his Best Friend in a Lyman welcoming us to Clayton…

Just because – We all get to see Dick Kish`s beautiful, spotless, and rare Garwood Sedan…

Just because – We get to go to an Antique & Classic Boat Auction on Saturday…

Just because – There are Boats for Kids…

Just because – This is a perfect place for an Antique & Classic boat show, celebrating Gar Wood Boats, lots and lots of Gar Wood Boats! Stay tuned throughout the weekend for show updates…

I think I am going to have to make it there next year. Biggest long weekend of the summer in BC, Canada, and we have 15 people at our place so it is hard to get away, But – next year might be different! Thanks for the great shots.

I wish I was there. Maybe if I closed my eyes and splash water on my face I could make believe. Maybe I should sit in my Lyman in the shed to add to the realism of the dayriverdream. Thanks Texx and all you woodyboaters

Do not forget to check out the 1922 90 percent original Lyman Leader. Oh if I had some cash to spare. Congradulations to the one that does.
