Sunnyland 2014, Bring Out Your Plastic, Cause We’re Having A Tupperware Party!

Karen, Paul, Dennis, Bill, all having a nice chat about this Lark. Bill owns on e the the two originals in exsistance. Not sure how to spell exsistance.. exit stance?
What a special show this is going to be. The good guys from the Correct Craft Club brought their”A” game and spirit to the show. It feels like a fresh breeze of fun being injected into what is already one of the most fun shows of the year. Fun new designs, wild stuff, and cool stuff that I have not seen nor felt before. Now I am not running around feeling up boats… But I have to say that I grew up with plastic boats as well. And the wake of emotion when seeing some of these things is surprising to me. Great, just great, now when I am at the grocery store I am going to start crying when I see a Clorox bottle! All kidding aside, our skipper caps are off to the show organizers for bringing new things to a hobby that loves old things. That is not an easy thing to do.

The very rare Evenrude Lark, all hand made! Only two were ever made, and this one is all hand fabricated. Insane. I guarantee there is a award already being engraved for it.
If you are still on the fence, the show is SOLD OUT. Every spot is filled. But there is always room for look’n and ” feeling” . This is the one show to go to. You will see plastic that will do more than blow you away, it will change your perspective on Fiberglass. Donzi’s, Chris Craft, Centry, Correct Craft, Evenrude, Buehler, Buehler…Buehler annyone. .. .all are represented here in full glorious plastic forms.

The tape is still on from towing in. I dont have a ton of shots of stuff cause it was all just coming in.

The VERY BUSY very nice Volunteers are zipping around the place on their Segways tractors and Golf carts

As noted yesterday, the tent is open for business. This year thanks to fellow Woody Boater Alan from Action Screen print we were able to bring double the inventory of last year. Last year we sold out of 250 shirts by Friday, we brought 450 this year… I think…But already we are have way through this years stuff. WHAT THE HELL! Sorry, already out of Smalls, and Med Woody for boobies. YES… we have large and extra large Boobies here.. OK there is your joke.. It was bound to happen..

The Good folks at the Antique Boat Center showed up. This year with more boats at the show than any previous here. This place is going to be packed with goodness.
To be honest I spent all day in the tent saying hi to folks. I will most likely do the same today. Alex Watson, Troy , Paul, Karen, are all here. Dennis and wife Ronnie are in the tent helping as is the Boatress and Jimmy. If you are here, come on by. We are right next to Hagerty, and Katzs. Come by and see Pumpkin and all her Muscle Boat magic.
Great header photo!
What’s up with all the long sleeves? People seem to think its cold here!
After the Woodyfest party and late meal I emptied the mini-bar. Now how to get get going for a long day?
No matter what Matt says I did catch him feeling up a boat!
How do I apply for Tommy’s job? Just about every
time we see him he is driving another awesome boat. Go Tommy Go!!!!!!!
Are you sure that you can’t varnish those things?
Sitting in woody central sweating like crazy. They need to sell breathable mesh shirts or something a little cooler than heavy cotton.
Wow Matt you have it all Goin on. Luv the Even rude but also like the Cessna 152 on floats, what a rocket ship. Are those barrels of Prop Wash holding down the Woodyboater tent?
It’s a Super 150. I am tempted to “borrow it” for a flight to the Picnic.
Why is Bono driving Pumpkin? And is that Marty McFly’s Dad on the left ?? Hello….. Hello ….
… hey, no pontoon boats = no Texx?????
Wait, where are the registration numbers for Pumpkin? Has someone been airbrushing again?
