..BRIAN .::I probably will spoil a trivia contest on the BLUE & WHite rare SAMOAN, but they were built in LAKE HELEN, Fla , from the SOUTH SEAS co.. We think about 3 have been discovered,, a Tommy in Tampa may have his restored & at Mt Dora also.? These Half Pontiac (Front ) & half CHEVY fins ( Rear) are WIDE & about 18 or 19 ft . Found with Merc 700’s (?) could have 900 ‘s on now (?)
Larry is right,,dave Merkhe got it from Tenn with larrys help,I think a dr. had it,very rough,,It went to Brooklyn Wis,layed along the garage,still very rough,,then I bought it 1 yr ago or so and in oct. we did total new floor,transom,{over built} deck supports,ground it ground down to cloth,the fins were knocked off,we reglassed them then put spray foam inside to help strngthen themalong with alot of glass,and then alot of new gel coat,then interior, the engines are 61-2 100 mercs,1960 Gator trailer.We need a couple more weeks but ran out of time ,it will get it,,hope to float it sunday some time,Thanks Bill
