This beautiful brand new 1950’s era Chris-Craft Kit Boat. This boat was built by the Marine Claims Team at Hagerty Classic Marine Insurance. Photos of the build can be seen on the Collectors Foundation web site, www.collectorsfoundation.org This was a project to let the Claims Team have hands on experience with the wood boat construction process.
This boat was done to Show standards. These boats do sell normally for 15K and the kit alone is about 2K. This is a very rare opportunity, along with the just the opportunity to have fun with this boat this summer, your money goes to a good effort.
The money helps The Collectors Foundation. The Foundation was launched by Hagarty Insurance. To date, the Collectors Foundation has awarded over $1 million in scholarships and grants for youth-focused collector car and boat programs. Recipients include the Landing School of Boat Building and Design in Kennebunkport, Maine; the Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building in Port Hadlock, Washington; and the Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum in Alexandria, Minnesota, among others.
