A HQ Hodgepodge

Busy warm humid days at the Railway

One of the greatest joys of being at HQ is seeing folks up on the rails keeping their boats going. After about a year and a half, the railway is running smoothly..ish and that makes my clogged heart warm as well. Hell everything is warm.

Jim Sheafers wonderful deadrise -ish boat getting some repairs. This boat was built by Clarence Sanford who during WW2 worked on PT boats.. Look closely, the lines are very similar.

Found this at an old Hardware store.

Timeless moments make me smile

Yes, I am looking through the trash for small details. Not sure what to do with this old label.

Looks cool, but its very warm with all the doors closed

Car Free Days make summer special. Makeshift car port.

I love that you can commute by boat.. Walk down to the dock, wipe the morning dew off the cushions, fire up the “Gas Pass Special” on Stinky…., and a short run across the creek to the “office”..
Cant get much better than that!

When you find the Sea-Proof paint just remember to ROTATE YOUR STOCK so the old paint gets used first!

The old label, cardboard included, needs to be framed and hung some place ‘appropriate, like in the head.
