A Real Hug To You All This Easter

WARNING: First off, todays story might come off sappy and emotional. As I woke up today, I reflected on the past years of sadness and yes joy. But mostly the sadness of isolation. The constant feeling of needing to stay away from other people. And especially to avoid any close contact. In other words, the death of human contact and closeness. At first I did not miss it. But this past month at Lake Dora it was overwhelming. I found myself shaking hands, and not being 6 ft away, and yes, I hugged a ton of friends I was thrilled to see and be around. We all felt that way.. honestly cautiously. But the human drive to be close, and the warmth of a real smile and hug was the healing, the rebirth I needed. We all needed. The world needs. If only there was a special day to celebrate that warmth, that HOPE! mmmmmm?

HAPPY EASTER, PASSOVER and all the other related moments of Rebirth Celebration. I am generally not a religious person. Although I was a devote Earnest Ainsley watcher, and Jim and Tammy sure did warm heart. But in this case, the overwhelming feeling of rebirth, the fact that as a world we all celebrate that moment together is amazing. Hope is an amazing emotion, and to tie this all back to our little universe, hope is the driving force for why we love our life style of old cool things being brought back to life. With one simple change in spelling, ReSTORE is really ReBIRTH, and for that I am forever grateful.
