Here are some shots of Miss Step that was done at Katzs Marina. One of my favorite boats of all time. And I cant bid. The Railway drained me! AHHHHHHHHHH
Some gorilla glue. 1/4 sheet of plywood and and a little varnish. I’m bidding.
Post-war windshield brackets. On pre-war brackets the big opening narrowed down to a very small slot. Supposedly too many fingers were lost when they got caught in the narrow slot.
Cool boat, but 10K starting bid in that condition. Kind of like getting excited about a pretty girl to find out that she is really a drag queen.
It doesn’t add up to me that she was restored in 1996-7, stored inside and is in that bad a shape. Even if it was a poor restoration.
Is that copper sheet wrapped at transom/bottom?Would that be factory? And the corner of the step show some kind of metal reinforcement also, again factory?Or amateur repairs? On a boat like this is the keel stepped also (two pieces)? What ‘this boat worth finished to say a Katz’s standard?
Maybe an unpopular opinion but those are better looking than a cobra
Looks like a speeding wooden death trap! I’m surprised you didnt bid on it, dad!
That’s got a ton of potential. I wonder what it would cost to get a Katz restoration?
