Buy and sell your classic boat with class.
Most likely you know about ebay. And there are some great dealers out there that buy and sell boats. There is word of mouth and museum donations. But what about buying and selling a great Antique or classic boat on your own. The best resource for that is the Trading Dock.
www.TradingDock.org. It’s free. And its all about Antique & Classic boats. What’s even cooler is the design. It’s designed by the same folks that do the Brass Bell. It’s world class design that creates a perfect showroom for your dream. The photography is the same as others but it just looks better, and if you are trying to sell something that always helps. The photo above is fantastic and is from the Trading Dock. In fact Loon is for sale. She is a beautifully restored barrel Back. Priced realistically and obviously taken care of. You can easily visit Loon at www.tradingdock.org/651
Thank you for the very generous comments about our http://www.TradingDock.org site. The site is an experiment of sorts, to see how good we can make the online classifieds experience. We love wooden boats. That’s why we’re here! We are also seeing a tremendous groundswell of enthusiasm for vintage fiberglass boats. TradingDock.org presents all—without prejudice. There are no costs to listing your boat or merchandise. And, you can upload up to 6 photos per ad—at no cost!
This week, we just enhanced the site to allow the advertiser to link to YouTube video content. Long Descriptions, images, and video content. All at no cost. We must love old boats.
Bill’s right. Trading Dock is a great web site for buying, selling or trading anything marine related, especially antique and classic boats, engines and hardware.
I recently obtained a 1948 Chris Craft 17′ Deluxe Runabout using Trading Dock and was very pleased.
She needs total restoration but that’s what I was looking for.
Welcome Al.. Any shots.. We can do a before and after.
I’m not much on photography but really need to document this progress. How do you post photos here? I have some “before” shots.
It’s easy. You got the auther invite. Fill that out. I can walk you through it on the phone. And post a story on your 48.. I loved just swell. She was an amazing boat.. Still is, just no mine anymore.
