I woke up this morning in someones bathtub, stained in a nice mahogany red stain and I swear I have varnish in my hair. I suppose at some point during the 2nd annual woody boater holiday party I thought I would stain and varnish myself. Funny idea at the time.. The only thing making me feel better is that I am not alone. Yesterday we had over 1,600 visitors to the party and over 6,000 hits. That meant we all kept coming back for more. We more than doubled last years numbers and came close to doubling the comments. The new photo comment feature is a big hit. And made the party so much more fun. We thank everyone for stopping buy and showing the planet what a great community we have here. Now if you will excuse me I have a appointment with the Ty-De bowl man!

Ow my aching head and back, I never should have slept on the floor under the table. Damn I have a shrimp puff stuck in my hair and the keyboard is REALLY loud today. I went to take a shower but Matt is asleep in the tub with some monkey. Great party, I think.

First I want to apologize for failing as the designated driver. Was doing fine hauling all the HOTTIES in till someone said there was spotted cow hiding under the Schlitz. Musta had a couple too many. Chad’s monkey offered to take me home but knowing Chad had trained it i declined. Finally ended up taking a taxi home. Good thing because when I got to an alcohol checkpoint they waved taxi’s right through. If anyone knows who the taxi belongs too it’s still running in my drive.

I woke up with Chad’s monkey and a huge hangover! That monkey smells. Too many vartini’s I think. Great party guys.

Early this morning I saw a chimp wearing a Toga driving a taxi with Illinois plates down the wrong side of the road…
He was last spotted at a casino in rural Wisconsin.
I kinda remember Texx being there clicking away with his ever present camera. Do we have to be concerned about that? I would like to purchase any negatives with me in it (especially if it has that damn monkey in it).

LOL, Rick that is the Erie Canal, definitely not what we would call a lake! I was test posting pictures of different sizes. It seems the new comment section rejects pictures that are too large but exactly how big that is I don’t know yet. The last picture was 1200×900 and worked, so if you want to post a pic, try resizing it down to that size or smaller.

The pictures default to 320 ox wide we think that if you are having issues loading reduce the size of your image . Just not sure the size. I know on the main part of the site. If your image is larger than 2 mg it won’t load. The right thing is to load small since it can’t go larger than 320 anyway

M-fine, You are right – the maximum photo size in the comment section is 320px but if you load larger size photos the gadget will automatically re-size the photo to 320px.
This is new technology for us (in terms of photos in the comment section) so I am not sure what the threshold is in terms of what the maximum photo size you can load is.
Yesterday I was asking viewers to e-mail me photos that wouldn’t load properly, which I was then resizing and posting for them. Some of the photos that I received were well over 1600px wide (i.e 2400px and larger)
Probably a 1200px -ish or less size image is best, that way the gadget won’t spit them out.
Today’s mobile devices are now capable of taking larger size photos, depending on your settings. For example, my iPhone 5 can easliy take photos as large as 3200px wide. But the iPhone has the capability of reducing the photo size down to a more manageable size if required for e-mails, etc. Normally a 550KB (.5MB) photo is around 1200px wide (approximately).
