Last night we got an email from fellow Woody Boater Alex Watson who is going to need to tear town a garage to add a bedroom.. Of course the emailer exploded with “Don’t do its”! There is a saying that never sell a boat unless yo have another , and NEVER surrender garage space.. Alex seems set to loose space.. He has a couple boats to spare. So does it really matter?

Could he just put a boat on a dirt floor? Maybe might even be better off for it? We all know that storing a boat in a dark space above the water is best? Gravel? Concrete? There is a thought that concrete can suck the moisture from the boat. One concept states if you store a boat on concrete, you should lay down a tarp, and a couple 5 gallon buckets of water under the boat?

So.. What should Alex do? What can you do? Whats right, Whats wrong? You know what to do… do the math and let us know..
