From The Secret Robinson Files. Every 25 Sportsman Listed.
Well, today if you are into specs stats and lists. You may want to put on some plastic on your key board.. Cause this is gonna blow your mind. Brian Robinson shared one of his special lists that he creates. Yes, people do this and it’s insane. It’s so large that I had to rebuild it as something we could load here. It was on an XL file spread sheet. to read it, click on it to blow it up. Then click again on the image. It’s kinda legible. Sorry, it’s the internets fault. Enjoy one mans special madness. And you get an understanding of the flow of how these were built in batches.
Well there ya go. Every 25 Sportsman built. During the war 22’s were the size built. Although we did find 1 25 that was built, according to the specs from An American Auto Industry in World War Two Special Edition web page on Chris Craft.
And you thought this was going to be a quick read. Enjoy the worm hole of history
Thanks for sharing. Way too much information to comprehend this early on a Saturday morning.
Could be a interesting read….but way to blurry…can you make it downloadable?
It is actually easier to read on my phone because it blows up better.
My boat is highlighted ( 028). Do I win a prize?
I see mine listed. SP-25-140, with the very extensive list of additional equipment the owner specified, including the Scripps. It was ordered with an automatic bilge pump, which was very unusual and that pump is still installed and fully operational. I do have a modern backup in place…..
Both my pre war and post war are listed. Both sold new by Mercer in Clayton NY.
I think my prewar hull number 12524 second to last one built. Is the only surviving one with its optional Streamline Sedan Roof still on it.
If someone knows of another prewar 25′ with its sedan roof still on it. I’d like to get some pictures of it.
How cool is that the Chris-Craft kept all that information at all those boats I sure wish hacker craft would’ve done the same I’ve got a 1930 I can’t find anything about
Wags86 – call me, I have a lot of stuff on that vintage of Hackers. Hackers are my first love
Thanks so much for sharing these charts. When are you going to write your book?
Hi Brian, great job building that list, Scott
