My last building was built specifically with narrow doors and 30′ long to avoid temptation like this. Now I have the ability to store a large boat but the waterway I live on has low bridges. Someone is telling me to stick with runabouts.

A few years ago on Boat Buzz there was a discussion of bedding replacement planks with Boat Life rather than 5200. This would be a good boat to play with that on.

If I was 30 years younger Id (foolishly) take it on…. Hopefully someone will preserve it for the next caretaker who will have the time and resources to get it back in the water… Once they are gone, they are gone,…..but you cant save them all……
Oh darn, my boat wells will only fit 28 footers………………so I guess that I will have to pass.
Has anyone ever rolled a 33 footer over to do a bottom, lol. I have silently dreamed of this model ever since seeing Mark Edmonson’s “Storm Duty” which was the Sportfisherman version with flybridge. Its now with a different owner who appears to be taking proper care of her. In reality, besides the repair/restoration costs, its too large to be a trailerable runabout you desire and maybe just a little small to be the liveaboard you were thinking it might function as. The lines are as seductive as Raquel Welch but in need of as much surgery to bring back to her former self. And then there’s the carrying cost of this beauty.

I love the Chrisavich flying bridge version nothing better than those lines. And Yes rolling a 33 footer is no big deal I use to work for a builder who built 100 foot plus yachts up side down and when the hull was done roll them right side up.
The only way this could make sense is if the trailer was included.Nice trailer with free boat.Is it known weather or not this boat was a fresh water boat thru out its life?I am assuming the only salt in Ohio would be on the roads in winter?We all know what salt water does to the motors if not fresh water equipped.Those motors could be as rotted as rest of boat.

I purchased a similar model a few years ago. Same footage & looked as good. I fell in love with her lines & purchased her immediately. Brought her home & began chasing rot. Just when I thought the last rotten spot was repaired l’d find another & so on. After replacing the bottom I finally felt confident that I had all the rot repaired. While in storage I found more rotten planks. The love affair had come to an end. One of my fathers best quotes was (nice from far & far from nice) Buyers Beware I hope that this helps someone.
