Got The Generator Running So I Can…..
So, here we are bracing for the storm and surge. Power out, and have the generator running. For the fridge, TV, Microwave, and internet. Why the internet. SO I CAN TROLL ebay of course! Isn’t life funny. All this stuff, and i am using it to talk with you and troll the web for cool stuff. And found something. Maybe it’s good to take ones mind off all this stuff. Not much I can do know. Even filled the tub with fresh water. Our water system is a community well, that is pumped by.. you guessed it. Power. And some of the folks don’t want to pony up the dough to have a generator for that. UGH.. Anyway, back to the cool little 1959 Shell Lake boat.

I love to see that header picture of the Minnetonka Boat Works in Deephaven, MN .This was not at their main facility in Wayzata. That was a mid 1960s tornado that did the damage seen.

Ha just did. Darn shipping. Will take up to 5 days to get here. Then there is the sand guy, he aint delivering right now. High tide was at 1250 water is somewhat dropping now. But dear god, it hits us tomorrow. So? I have my rubbers on just in case.
Search e-Bay for a nice vintage pontoon boat, one you can live on while the water is up!
I left Bay Lady this morning reluctantly after doubling lines and adding spring lines in her covered slip at Ingram Bay marina. Capt. Billy will keep an eye on her during the festivities, but once the surge reaches 4 feet, she’s locked in her slip because of the down slope of the northern edge of the roof. At five feet above normal, the flying bridge starts impacting the rafters. So please instruct the gods of Chesapeake Bay to limit the surge to five feet. Thank you.

just back from mine..queen’s creek, near Gwynn’s Island Va. Water over the dock the whole time I was there…trippled lines in some places…had to swing of the boat on a rope tied to the roof joist…like tarzan…..and like Matt says….she ain’t got here yet!!

Water coming up thru storm drains along coast now, winds gusting over 40, sea bouys recording 17′ waves and storm still hundreds of miles away. Parts of NYC may get up to 11′ storm surge. Salt water in the subway system, not good for eclectrical stuff!
Well OPM has closed federal offices in DC. Rain continues with breezes less than 10 kts here in NoVA. High tide is late this morning. Any word from Reedville?
