Has Anyone Seen My CC-17-924?

We have your original Hull plate!
We have a special request to all the good citizens of Woodyboaterville. Does anyone know who currently owns A 17 Ft Sportsman with Hull Number CC-17-924. We have your original number plate. The previous owner just found it after selling the boat 30 years ago up in Michigan.

Have you seen my body?
Now, we know what sort of looooooooooong shot this is, but isn’t that part of the fun.

The “Bible”
Now according to “The Bible” It appears that this would have been a 1954, or 1955 17 Sportsman. Own it? Know it? Okay if you know other peoples boats by their hull numbers. Well, you are a stalker. And chop up people and put there parts in your freezer. Okay, maybe that was a tad bit over judgemental. Sorry. You are strange. But as you all know, we like strange around here.
Check with the Mariners Museum and see who asked for a copy of the hull card last. Or just send it to the museum to have it attached it the hull card incase someone asks for information on the boat at a later date.
And see if it is registered with the Chris Craft club
I used to own CC-17-2061 which was a late 1955 production boat. It would seem that 942 might be in the 1954 production year.
I have several of those plates…sadly from dead cruisers I cut up for parts….saved those though out of respect.

Headstones for your cruiser graveyard?

I would be nice to search acbs but there site won’t let you search on anything outside of there selected fields!!
