Hooooocheeeeemoma! This Is One very Cool 1939 Boat.
The year 1939… The concept. Build one very cool boat to go out and tear up the water ways.
With an Inboard/Outboard Drive.
Yup, Along with other goodies, like a flathead 8,
Hudson steering wheel,.. even the trailer is cool. With Kelsey Hayes wheels.. Dear god, even the paint chips are cool on this thing… AND it can be yours… eBay awaits you….push the button… click... you are getting sleepy… click the button and it could be in your boat house….. cllllickkkkk the button….and all your dreams will come true…..really…..
Sorry Matt – interesting history and very cool boat and all, but I just can't buy any more boats. I almost think that the sum of the parts on this are way more cool than the finished product.
With the '26 Mullins and the '48 CC 25' Sportsman in the last 2 weeks, I am full up (but don't quote me on that)!

Damn it Matt, you force me with all this mind control to go out last week and make an offer on a U22, I swear off ebay to save my marrige, and now I'm not even safe reading your daily ramble without getting caught up in a trip to Tenn. If you wake up EARLY one morning and I am standing on your front porch with a sleeping bag in my hand and four boats hooked in tandem behind my truck, you will only have yourself to blame.

Here I am at work looking at Glen L barrelback runabout blueprints, thinking way to expensive to build…. wonder if anyone has ever done a RatBoat? Here it is, this boat has so much character and looks built with true backyard grit. I would be in love it it had a second cockpit.
Dustin – I know the owner of that boat and I think it's still for sale if you are interested. It has quite an interesting history. You can reach me at texx@woodyboater.com for more info.
Texx, I can't even get my wife (hencefore known as "the Boss") to approve the funding for a mid ninties plastic I/O Mariah bowrider. She barely agreed to give me the green light on a cedar-strip canoe project… The Boss is great at making sure we can pay our bills and eat, but horrible at letting me go nuts with our money. When I figure out a way to get some stimulus money for my research (buying a woodie boat) I'll let you know.
